Learning to read by third grade is a key indicator of both academic success and future success.  Too many kids are missing this benchmark and this has an impact on their willingness to stay in school and their ability to complete their education.

Parents and kids are worried about school safety.  We need to ensure the safety of everyone in our schools.  Kids need a secure environment where they can thrive and contribute to the school community.

Fiscal stewardship is vital for a healthy and vibrant school system.  Declining enrollment and the impact of numerous lawsuits is threatening our bottom line.  We count on the school board to make sound fiscal decisions to support our schools.
